YOU GUYS NEARLY 11,000 OF YOU PUT UP WITH ME ON A DAILY BASIS. You guys listen to more of my crap than my own boyfriend generally does. That deserves rewarding. So this is an extra SPECIAL tea give away, and there will be THREE winners. Oh my god. Want a chance to become one of those lucky three people? Read on and follow directions.

THE PRIZES:

  • First Place Prize: A set of all seven Sherlock Shipper tea blends [Sherlock/Moriarty, Sherlock/Irene, Moriarty/Moran, Mycroft/Lestrade, Lestrade/John, Lestrade/Molly, Molly/Moriarty]
  • Second Place Prize: A set of all four* Avengers Teas [Thor, Loki, Steve Rogers, and Coulson *and possibly also Tony Stark if I make a tea for him soon]
  • Third Place Prize: A set of all three Doctor Who Teas [The TARDIS, Amy Pond, and Rory]
  • IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE PRIZE PACKS: Each winner will get ONE blend specially created for them. It can be a character or ship or show or book or whatever that I haven’t done that they’d like me to do. It can even be a blend made based on THEM. Whatever the winners would like. They each get to request one, and they will receive it with their other teas.

I MIGHT ADD TO THESE PRIZES. If this gets reblogged like, a lot, or something, I might lose my head and also send the winners mugs to go with their tea. Or a book. WE’LL SEE.

THE RULES:

  • Anyone ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD can enter EXCEPT AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND!! I am SUPER sorry for my followers down under because not only do you have to put up with terrifying wild life, you can’t even allow tea to be imported to help comfort you. Sorry, there’s like, crazy laws and stuff.
  • You do not have to be following me to win, but it might be helpful to keep track of updates or changes (if any). Plus I plan to make some blends for other fandoms in the future, so if tea is your thing, it might not be a bad idea?
  • Only two reblogs a day allowed.I did not realize how often people would reblog my last big give away soooo I’m going to enforce this LOL. You can reblog on as many days as you’d like, but yeah, only 2 reblogs a day please. I’ll be checking.
  • LIKES DON’T COUNT. Sorry! You have to reblog!
  • The give away will end and I will choose the winners on FRIDAY JUNE 1STI’ll probably do the drawing late at night on that day, so I’m going to say I’ll stop counting reblogs at 10 p.m. EST. Winners may not be announced until the next day or so, just to be aware!
  • Here’s how the winners will be selected: Just like all of my other give aways, I’ll compile a spreadsheet or numbered list of all of the reblogs, and I’ll use the number generator on random.org to chose a number and find the corresponding username on the list. The first number I draw will win the first place prize (or, if they are more into Avengers or Doctor Who, they may chose one of the other prizes). Second number I draw will win the second place prize (or a choice between whatever two packs remain), and the third number drawn will receive the last prize!

[5/20 UPDATE] Dudes you guys are on a ROLL with this! I promised that if it hit 25k notes by the end of this weekend, I’d add another prize pack and, well, it happened. So now instead of three winners, FOUR people will win a prize. Same rules apply as before. The first place winner gets first choice of the prizes, then the second place winner, then so on. So what teas am I adding? CABIN PRESSURE!

The Lemon is in Play, Ottery Kisses, and Polar Bears are BRILLIANT!
And of course this prize pack will also come with a customized tea blend of the winners choice as well <33

Thanks so much everyone! You guys seriously are just the best, and odds are, I may end up adding another prize pack at 35K or something if it actually gets to that o_o

[5/21 UPDATE] DANG GUYS. ANOTHER ADDITION ALREADY!

Not another prize pack, per se, BUT, I am possibly doubling the number of final winners. Basically, when I draw names for the prizes, the people that the winners reblogged the contest from will ALSO win the prize that the person drawn chooses. If the winner reblogged from me or themselves, they’ll still only get one prize. And I’m not going to win a prize in my own contest so….

Anyway, I guess this is a good reason to encourage your followers to reblog the contest from your blogs or something 8D;

Time for the next round of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! I feel like I’m jumping around a bit now, but I just don’t know what the popularity rankings are going to be each week anymore, lol! BUT I just brewed a big batch of this as iced tea and loved it so much I knew I wanted to make The Mind and The Heart the next giveaway! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!

THE MIND AND THE HEART BLEND: ‘Spicy and Jammy’ with a ‘buzzy mouthfeel’. Stir a spoonful of honey into this this subtly fruity tea for a surprisingly sweet pairing. (irish breakfast, berry blues, rooibos vanilla chai)

MY REVIEW OF IT: “THE FRUITIEST OF SMELLS IN THE BAG. Ahaha so fruity and jammy and now I’m scared. Shhh. Okay. Wow. This actually REALLY nice once steeped and not as aggressively fruity as I was expecting. It is a bit tart, but there’s still notes of vanilla and spice. A swirl of honey makes it very nice and floral. It’s a very mild tea, and I don’t know if it quite fits John and Sherlock but it IS very tasty.”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

  • This is the perfect blend between Sherlock and Watson. You have the strong dark flavor from the Irish Breakfast but then a more calming flavor from the chai. It is just the best every day tea, and I can’t get enough of it! -Ilana B.
  • A very warm, fireside type of tea. The smell in the bag was a bit overwhelmingly vanilla, but when it was brewed it mellowed out considerably. The spice of the vanilla chai and Irish breakfast definitely came out strongest, but I could just taste the sweet of the berries.”-Jennifer R.
  • The smell of this blend is incredible. I made this up for myself when I was in a particularly good mood and it just made the day even brighter. The berry flavour is full and settles in your mouth heavily, but the earl smooths it out and gives it a nice taste that makes you sigh. It’s very nice with just a dash of sugar and cream, and it’s equally wonderful iced.”-Templeton B.
  • Opening the bag smells like what I imagine it would to step into 221B Baker Street. There’s a great aroma of berries and sweetness, but with an underlying spice and just a touch of who KNOWS what. Tastes amazing after steeping for about a minute and a half, with neither the dark spices nor bright berry flavor outweighing the other. Equally as delicious with milk in it, and letting it cool produces yet another amazing flavor. My favorite way to have it is with just a little bit of fruity honey. Definitely one I’ll be buying again, once I’m out. :)
  • This blend really encompasses the relationship that is Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. The irish breakfast is deep and reminds you of home, while the chai adds a bit of spice and the berry, a bit of sweet into the entire relationship. It’s wonderfully perfect, warmed or iced, and it’s something I’m going to enjoy with summer coming up.“-Lana R.
HOW TO WIN:
  • You may reblog this post ONCE a day for the next week. I’ll go through the notes and use a random number generator to chose a winner the evening of APRIL 22nd
  • You have to reblog! Likes wont count!
  • Due to customs, people in Australia and New Zealand are not eligible just because we can’t ship tea there Q_Q I’m sorry! Laws!
  • Just to clarify: The prize this week is The MIND AND THE HEART Blend as well as an IngenuiTEA Tea Pot.

Time for the next round of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! This week’s tea blend was hard to pick, but I just couldn’t resist doing Sherlock’s any longer *w*! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!

THE SHERLOCK BLEND: All at once exotic and mysterious and perhaps a little bit insane, with a lingering hint of smoke. (lapsang souchong, assam melody, oriental spice)

MY REVIEW OF IT: “It smells amazing. I wanted to stick my whole head in the bag. I was actually afraid I had overdone it with the Oriental Spice tea since that’s pretty much all I could smell in the bag. However, once I brewed it, BAM! So smokey. Definitely a very smokey tea, but not nearly as strong as a Lapsang by itself, and once the smokey taste fades you really start to taste the spice again. It’s awesome. I tried it first without adding anything, but there are very few teas I can drink plain. I added a splash of milk and a spoonful of sugar and it was perfect *w*”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

  • “Dark, smoky, and spicy is the best way to describe this tea. It smells extremely smoky in the bag (almost reminiscent of barbecue sauce), but it mellows out a bit when steeped. You can definitely taste the smoke, but it is balanced nicely by the spice.”-Michelle T.
  • Best of these blends I’ve tried so far. If there’s one tea that can stand up to a spices, Lapsang Souchong is probably it. The assam melody likely bolsters it as well, and seems to have helped with what usually throws off people I try to introduce to Lapsang: they smell it, and it reminds them of barbecue sauce—not a problem with this blend. It’s perfect: dark, smooth, smoky, and all of those other lovely things, with not-overpowering spice. Perfection.”-Katrina W.
  • ” This is actually a really warming blend, in my opinion. The smokey aroma reminds me of a dimly lit room and a cigar or cigarette and the warm and spicy flavor soothe me to my core.”-Alicia B.
  • Dark, spicy and sensually smoky. I was hesitant at first, but after a spoonful of sugar, I melted right in.”-Abigail L.
  • It’s difficult to describe. A hint of…danger? I sound silly, but it really is an intriguing blend. Like you have to drink more to figure it out. All in all, a perfect blend for Sherlock.“-Kayla B.

So, it’s no secret that I like making tea blends. Fandom tea blends. And guys, they’re pretty delicious and all available for anyone to try at adagio. It’s also no secret that I have…an abundance of tea, and I am more than eager to share it with as many people as I possibly can!

So, in honor of the release of the (really incredibly awesome) Hunger Games movie this weekend, I’m going to hook one person up with the ENTIRE collection of Hunger Games inspired tea blends. That’s 8 different bags of tea, with about 50 servings in each package. That…is a lot of tea. And I want one of you to have all of them so you can try them and tell everyone else how awesome they are (or hey, how terrible, I won’t fault you if you don’t like one or two of them. Haymitch is an acquired taste.)

Unfortunately, I can only give the collection away to one person. Here’s how it will work:

  • Reblog just to let me know you’re interested in getting the tea. But don’t go crazy. No one likes their dash spammed with these things, so I’m asking that you only reblog once a day.
  • You don’t have to be following me for me to pick you, so don’t worry about that. (You might want to check out What People Brew though, if fandom things and tea things are your bag.)
  • In the spirit of fairness, I will use a random number generator to pick a name at random in exactly two weeks. That’s APRIL 7TH. And don’t worry, I’ll be sure to contact the chosen person via ask, as well as make a public post about it :D

Let me know if you have ANY questions! And may the odds be ever in your flavor!

Thanks to the overwhelming response to the Sherlock Tea Give Away (which ended a few days ago, you can stop reblogging it now <3), Adagio and I have decided to help make sure even MORE people have a chance to try some of the fandom tea blends I’ve made <3

Not only that, but Adagio is going a step further and sending each weeks winner one of their IngenuiTEA tea brewers along with the tea! These things are AWESOME, especially if you’re new to loose leaf tea and don’t have much brewing equipment. You can find out more about the IngenuiTEA pot at this link.

So now, once a week, I’ll be posting a review of a different tea blend, and you just have to reblog the post for a chance to win a whole bag of the tea being reviewed! So, without further a do, the first tea blend is also the most popular!

THE WATSON BLEND: Queen and Country traditionalist, but still recounting his days in Afghanistan drinking green tea, John Watson prefers his tea with a bit of cream, no sugar, and just a little warm from a touch of cinnamon. (irish breakfast, cinnamon, earl grey green)

MY REVIEW OF IT: “In the bag, it smells wonderful. You get that strong, warm cinnamon scent first, then you realize there’s some earl grey in there too and I melt just a little bit because it’s just such a comforting smell. Warm and familiar and calming. The cinnamon smell is still strong in the cup, and kind of reminds me of red hot candies LOL. And oh man. This tea is naturally really nice and sweet without any added sugar. The cinnamon continues to be be dominant, but you definitely get the earl grey in there with the sweet orange tones. This tea is absolutely lovely and definitely reminds me of John. I think it’s earned its ranking.”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

  • I always want to bury my face in the bag whenever I open this tea — it smells amazing, very cinnamon-y!”-Caitlyn O.
  • Incredibly comforting, with the warm cinnamon to add a bit of kick. Delicious.”-Ariel S.
  • ” Like being tucked into a cuddly jumper and curled up on the sofa.”-Crystal M.
  • “This tea feels like your favourite sweater on a cool day. The cinnamon hits you right down to your toes.”-Arizona D.
  • “Perfect for an adorably BAMF, made of kittens, ex-army doctor.“-Sheri L.
HOW TO WIN:
  • You may reblog this post ONCE a day for the next week. I’ll go through the notes and use a random number generator to chose a winner the evening of MARCH 17th
  • You have to reblog! Likes wont count!
  • Due to customs, people in Australia and New Zealand are not eligible just because we can’t ship tea there Q_Q I’m sorry!

SHERLOCK TEA COLLECTION GIVE AWAY!

Awesome news guys! The cool folks at Adagio have been kind enough to help out with a giveaway for a complete collection of the Sherlock Tea blends. That is 11 bags of different tea featuring art work by yours truly. That’s about 50 servings in each bag. More if you re-steep your tea (which is possible with most of them). That is a LOT of tea. How bonkers is that? Very. It’s awesome. Here’s the lowdown on how to win A WHOLE BUNCH OF TEA.

  • Anyone ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD can enter! If you live outside of the U.S. I’ll foot the bill to get you some tea myself. Because odds are you are awesome and you deserve it.
  • You do not have to be following me to win, but it might be helpful to keep track of updates or changes (if any). Plus I plan to make some blends for other fandoms in the future, so if tea is your thing, it might not be a bad idea?
  • Only two reblogs a day allowed.I did not realize how often people would reblog my last give away soooo I’m going to enforce this LOL. You can reblog on as many days as you’d like, but yeah, only 2 reblogs a day please. I’ll be checking.
  • The give away will end and I will choose a winner on Wednesday March 7th. I’ll probably choose late at night on that day, so I’m going to say I’ll stop counting reblogs at 10 p.m. EST.
  • [ADDED] LIKES DON’T COUNT. Sorry! You have to reblog!

A big thanks to Adagio for hooking us up with some awesome tea, and for all of you for following me and encouraging my tea-y ways! Good luck everyone!
