Watched this last night. It was one of the most heart-wrenching, most human, films I’ve ever seen. It felt like you were in there in prison with the members of the IRA as they went through hell. And Michael Fassbender was just brilliant as Bobby Sands. The longer the hunger strike went on, the more I felt the intense desire to beg him to stop. I just…Steve McQueen is a genius and I can’t wait to watch “Shame” and then see “12 Years A Slave” next year.
